Library Fines

Open Shelf Books
Fines for overdue loans are calculated from the day the book
is due back to the day the book is returned. The rate is 50
cents per day, excluding sunday and public holidays.

Red Spot Books
Fines for overdue red spot books are calculated from the
time the loan is overdue till the time the book is returned.
Sunday and Public Holidays are not included in this
calculation. The rate is 50 cents per every 30 minutes. Red
spot books may be borrowed overnight between 3.45pm - 8.45pm
on weekdays and 11.45am on saturdays. They must be returned
by 10am the following day or on Monday respectively

Loss of Books
The lost of library books must be reported immediately to
the Library at the circulation counter. The person to whom
the library book is issued is responsible for paying the
cost of replacing the books
